Championing Health Equity for Maryland

The Maryland South Asian American Health Summit unites clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and community advocates to strengthen healthcare access, equity, and innovation across the state.

Maryland is home to one of the most dynamic healthcare ecosystems in the nation — anchored by world-class academic medical centers, a thriving life sciences corridor, and a robust network of independent and community physicians. This summit is designed to harness that collective strength.

Physician–State Advocacy

Maryland's South Asian physician workforce represents a critical pillar of community and independent practice across the state. This summit creates a direct channel between clinicians and state leadership — aligning policy with the realities of frontline care delivery, addressing workforce barriers, and shaping a more sustainable practice environment.

Healthcare Innovation Showcase

With institutions like Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland Medical System, and a dense concentration of health-tech startups, Maryland is at the forefront of digital health and AI-driven care. The Innovation Showcase brings together these pioneers to demonstrate how emerging technologies are transforming patient outcomes across diverse communities.

Clinical Research & Bio-Pharma Symposium

The I-270 BioHealth Capital corridor positions Maryland as a national leader in life sciences, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical innovation. Bringing together researchers, bio-pharma leaders, and clinicians in a single room accelerates discovery, increases trial diversity, and ensures Maryland's research strengths translate into real-world community health impact.
